Bello Modo
After conducting a current state assessment on bellomodo.com, I provided the new owner with an overview and a recommendation: invest in moving the site to a more modern, mobile optimized platform that would better support her business' needs and customer's preferences.
Most small businesses have fairly simple inventories and product catalogs. Bello Modo, however, has a large and highly complex catalog of items - over 20,000 unique SKUs. We focused effort on mapping out any required changes to the product taxonomy, which would dictate the new site's updated front-end navigation and back-end inventory management.
Part of the project plan required onboarding resources to help with the data migration and testing efforts before go-live. I worked in conjunction with a small team to extract, transform, load, and test the product listing data. Additionally, I handled the design and configuration of all the new platforms functions, from UI to payments, DNS to email and more.
Moving to BigCommerce allowed for more seamless integrations between marketing, accounting, and sales tax platforms. I helped procure, configure, and integrate all of the tools that Bello Modo needed to serve its customers.
New platforms and tools also required new processes. Working closely with the new owner, I helped build out new business processes, employing automation where possible.
The go-live on the new platform happened on schedule, without any major hiccups. During the post-go live stabilization period, I provided the owner with additional assistance on documentation, training, state and federal reporting, and more.
